Workflow Solutions Engineer

Salary - $65,000 - $90,000 – ($90K would be for a lead)

Our client, an exciting young technology driven company, is looking for a Solutions Engineer to create designs, implement, unit test, and deliver superior support for their product line. You will develop workflows by building data sets, incoming and outgoing data processing, rules and interactive workflow pages that will define a complete product. This product is dynamically changing the way businesses communicate.

The Workflow Solutions Engineer works with the Program Manager to plan activities and participates in cross-functional working groups as part of the product design process. Utilizing product definitions and requirements from Systems Engineer(s), product development and working groups, the Workflow Solutions Engineer creates detailed standard solution designs and implementations. Working with Implementation Specialists, you will develop and validate custom engine solutions. In additions, the Workflow Solutions Engineer will work with Engineering and Quality Assurance to develop custom solutions for testing and to review designs.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to assist in definition and design
  • Create and maintain designs based on product requirements
  • Conduct design reviews with product development, engineering members, operations members and other appropriate staff
  • Performs unit testing
  • Support and implement customized solutions
  • Provide support customers, quality assurance testing, engineering testing, sales engineering demonstrations and others
  • Participate in product development
  • Provide documentation, demonstrations and/or answers questions for technical writing
  • 70 – 80% of the time will be working within the product to create and implement workflows
  • 20 – 30% of the time will be designing and providing documentation

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed

  • Broad knowledge and experience in designing user interfaces, messaging protocols, data models and customizing software packages
  • Experience customizing software packages and documentation
  • Excellent skills in process or software design and data modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to learn software systems quickly, create productive and compelling user interfaces and communicate effectively
  • Experience in the following would be useful but is not required - Linux, SQL, HL7, TAP, EDI, Cisco or other enterprise phone system
  • Education and Experience
    Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
